Copper Art Panel Features
- Premium Copper Construction: We craft our panels from high-quality copper, renowned for its outstanding durability and resistance to corrosion. We design each panel to withstand environmental changes, ensuring your artwork remains intact for generations. When varnished, copper can become one of the most durable painting surfaces.
- Panel Composition: Additionally, we deoxidize commercially pure copper with phosphorus to maintain a relatively high content of this element. This alloy is not susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement. The conductivity of this copper alloy is relatively low due to the high phosphorus content. The chemical composition of phosphorus-deoxidized, high residual phosphorus copper alloy (Cu-DHP) is a minimum of 99.85% copper (Cu) and 0.013 to 0.050% phosphorus (P). This alloy is classified as Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) C1220 and American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) C12200.2) – 3003 aluminum alloy, an aluminum-manganese alloy, is a general-purpose alloy with moderate strength, good workability, and good corrosion resistance. Manufacturers commonly roll and extrude it. They also use it frequently in sheet metal applications such as gutters, downspouts, roofing, and siding. The chemical composition of 3003 aluminum alloy is:
Aluminum: 96.8 to 99%
Copper: 0.05 to 0.20%
Iron: 0.70% max
Manganese: 1.0 to 1.5%
Silicon: 0.6% max

We use 3mm thick ACM panels to provide the most durable, rigid, and long-lasting support for your art. ACM panels do not react to relative humidity and other environmental changes, providing a very stable support for artwork. For larger sizes up to 5ft by 10ft we use a 6mm thick Gridpanel.
Finally we inspect and stamp every panel before sending it to you. This stamp represents an insurance policy not just for artists but for collectors. Your artwork is safe on an Artefex panel for generations.

(used with oil paint) Theres a bit of a learning curve to it if youve never worked on a material like this, but after the paint builds up a bit the result is BEAUTIFUL. I cant wait to use these more often!!

My panel was 11×14, not 18×24.. but the panel was great( although I did notice more small indentations than the 1st panel I bought). The copper color looks like it has a rose gold tint which is a beautiful look on any piece.
