What we cover

Day 1: Tools, materials, and a simple, repeatable color mixing system. Learn how to dial in pigments so you can make subtle adjustments fast.

Day 2: Color study demo from life and hands-on mixing practice. Put your new strategy to the test.

Day 3: Continue the color study or begin a fresh study with instructor feedback and troubleshooting.

About the 538 Extra-Fine Allinpanel used in class
The Artefex Allinpanel is a professional, archival oil-primed linen panel. The 538 Extra-Fine finish is a linen canvas primed in Italy, bonded to a two-sided aluminum composite panel using BEVA 371, and prepared specifically for oil, oil-alkyd, and oil-resin paints. Extra-Fine 538 offers a very fine plain weave that supports detailed brushwork and smooth blends, making it ideal for the close-in color study work we do in this bootcamp.

We cut Artefex ACM panels to standard sizes but we also cut custom panels in any shape or size you don’t see above.
We use 3mm thick ACM panels to provide the most durable, rigid, and long-lasting support for your art. ACM panels do not react to relative humidity and other environmental changes, providing a very stable support for artwork. For larger sizes up to 5ft by 10ft we use a 6mm thick Gridpanel.
Finally we inspect and stamp every panel before sending it to you. This stamp represents an insurance policy not just for artists but for collectors. Your artwork is safe on an Artefex panel for generations.
