What we do
Founded in 2014 by Anton and his family, Artefex began because artists needed a stronger, longer-lasting surface than wood or stretched canvas. This short film shows our workshop and explains why aluminum composite panels preserve paintings for generations. The 3mm core is a rigid Aluminum Composite Material (ACM)

How is the linen canvas attached to the aluminum core?
Artefex ensures archival longevity by adhering the 100% linen canvas to the two-sided aluminum composite panel using BEVA 371 film
. This heat-activated adhesive is an industry standard in art conservation, ensuring a permanent bond that prevents the linen from bubbling, peeling, or needing to be restretched

Will a panel this thin warp or bend over time?
No. One of the greatest advantages of the 3mm ACM construction is that it is completely "warp-resistant" and "super rigid"
