We accept returns on most new, unopened items within 30 days of receipt for a refund. If the return is due to our error, we cover the shipping costs. Items must be in original packaging. A 20% restocking fee may apply to certain returns. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Our panels are designed to withstand various environments and remain durable during shipping and use. They are carefully packaged to prevent damage, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition.

Description

Catherine D. Hafer, AAPL, is an international award-winning artist based in Westport, MA and Northumberland, PA. Known for her portraits of both people and animals, her work is described as “Capturing Personality and Bringing Feeling to Life.” She has mentored with Tina Garrett and studied with renowned artists such as Susan Lyon, Johanne Mangi, and Michelle Dunaway. Hafer is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and holds signature status with the American Artist Professional League.

Her awards include the Grumbacher Gold Medallion for an Oil Painting of Exceptional Merit and the Almenara Award at the AAPL Grand National Exhibition. In 2024 her work traveled to Spain for the Almenara Art Prize Exhibition, where it received Honorable Mention. She has been accepted to the Almenara Collection Artist Residency Program and will travel to Spain in 2026.

Strathmore 400 is one of the most versatile sheets Strathmore offers. This off-white drawing paper, with a uniform surface, is ideal for sketching and most finished work. It readily accepts pen and ink, pencil, crayon, charcoal, light washes, and markers. Acid-free.

2: Successful Portrait Painting (Oil, Grisaille)

This 3-day workshop focuses on grisaille studies in oil, helping students master structure, value, and form before introducing color.

Artefex ACM panels, 3mm thick for durability, with 6mm Gridpanel for larger sizes, offering stable support for artwork.

We cut Artefex ACM panels to standard sizes but we also cut custom panels in any shape or size you don’t see above.

Artefex panel inspection and stamping process, ensuring quality and longevity for artists and collectors' artwork.

We use 3mm thick ACM panels to provide the most durable, rigid, and long-lasting support for your art. ACM panels do not react to relative humidity and other environmental changes, providing a very stable support for artwork. For larger sizes up to 5ft by 10ft we use a 6mm thick Gridpanel.

Artefex ACM panels being cut to standard sizes, with custom shapes and sizes available upon request for any project.

Finally we inspect and stamp every panel before sending it to you. This stamp represents an insurance policy not just for artists but for collectors. Your artwork is safe on an Artefex panel for generations.
