At the heart of each Artefex panel lies a two-sided aluminum composite material (ACM), composed of two durable aluminum sheets that encase a resilient black polyethylene core. The robust construction is designed to provide exceptional stability and longevity, resisting warping and environmental fluctuations. With a substantial thickness of 3mm (solid core), 6mm (Honeycomb aluminum core) or 1 inch gallery (3mm solid core), these panels offer a sturdy foundation for your masterpieces.

Exquisite Surface Preparation

We coat the surface of the Artefex Lead White Oil-Primed ACM Panel with Rublev Colours’ lead white Alkyd oil primer. This primer ensures a luminous, smooth application of oil paint, enhancing the depth and richness of your colors without the dreaded “sinking in”. The lead oil primer creates an ideal surface that grips the paint superbly, allowing for intricate detailing and effortless blending. Artefex Allinpanel™ 538

The Artefex Allinpanel™ oil primed linen art panel is a professional-grade panel featuring 100% titanium oil primed linen canvas primed in Italy and bonded with BEVA 371 to a two sided aluminum composite panel.

Understanding Aluminum Composite Panels

The Allinpanel features a lightweight, durable aluminum composite material (ACM), consisting of two aluminum sheets bonded to a solid polyethylene core. This panel is 3mm in thickness (excluding the canvas), it is available in sizes from 8 x 10 to 20 x 24 inches in standard sizes. We can make them as large as 5×10 foot on our custom panel.

Oil-Primed Linen Canvas Panel

Oil primed Linen Allinpanels feature 100% linen canvas with plain weave textures available in medium, fine, and extra fine. This canvas is primed with a pure linseed oil binder and titanium dioxide, making it suitable only for oil, oil-resin, and oil-alkyd paints. Oil priming involves a more intricate process than acrylic priming and demands great care to ensure a quality painting surface. The process includes two coats of animal collagen glue followed by two to five coats of oil priming, totaling up to seven coats. The panels dry in low-temperature ovens with controlled humidity to achieve optimal results. This preparation enhances the brightness and tone of oil colors and allows for fluent and well-defined brushstrokes.
