With a substantial thickness of 3mm (solid core), 6mm (Honeycomb aluminum core) or 1 inch gallery (3mm solid core), these panels offer a sturdy foundation for your masterpieces.

    Exquisite Surface Preparation

    We coat the surface of the Artefex Lead White Oil-Primed ACM Panel with Rublev Colours’ lead white Alkyd oil primer. This primer ensures a luminous, smooth application of oil paint, enhancing the depth and richness of your colors without the dreaded “sinking in”. The lead oil primer creates an ideal surface that grips the paint superbly, allowing for intricate detailing and effortless blending.       These panels are the best! After using Artefex panels I can hardly stand to paint on anything else! No worries about warping, they are prepped so we'll, and paint goes on like butter.

      I actually bought the 8"x8", but either way, I really enjoyed working on this surface. I have never painted on any panel before and had a little adjustment period, but once I played with it more, it really worked in my favor. After I finish with the last few illustration boards I already have sized and primed, I think I will be a panel guy for life. After I am finished with the 9 Oleos I have, I need to test out the new extra fine smooth canvas surface.

      I absolutely LOVE the Artefex Oleopanels. They are a real game-changer for me in my work. I particularly love the slightly textured 410 panels and find them perfect for wildlife and western work. They have a unique surface that I havent experienced in other panels- the paint both glides on very smoothly and the panel can also take many layers of paint without getting glassy and difficult to work. Theyre wonderful!

      Artefex said a the best and ONLY supports I will use. Far superior to anything else. Dont waste your money on flimsy canvas stretched on cheap wood. If you want your paintings to last, quit reading this and order you the best!
      If you arent convinced yet, I paint in a very wet and humid environment. I ship all over the United States, the climate changes, humidity changes, bugs, dust, debris will not affect these panels. The packaging is crazy over kill, they are packing like they are shipping their children. I love the packaging! It is always fast, never had an issue. I just ordered 20 panels of which one was a custom size. Shipped and received in just a few days.

      I really enjoyed working on this panel, trying it for the second time after experimenting with a smaller one from the sample pack. Ive always liked paintings that had some texture (think Fechin) and this one, while still smooth enough for fine work, gives you a base of slight texture that creates interest and that you can build on.

These panels are very close to perfection for an oil painter. They are solid with just the right tooth to accept paint. No additional prep is needed. Just a pleasure to paint on these. They are heavy though which is an issue for shipping or air travel so I like the small sizes best. I will definitely buy again.

    Artefex ACM panels, 3mm thick for durability, with 6mm Gridpanel for larger sizes, offering stable support for artwork.

    We cut Artefex ACM panels to standard sizes but we also cut custom panels in any shape or size you don’t see above.

    Artefex panel inspection and stamping process, ensuring quality and longevity for artists and collectors' artwork.

    We use 3mm thick ACM panels to provide the most durable, rigid, and long-lasting support for your art. ACM panels do not react to relative humidity and other environmental changes, providing a very stable support for artwork. For larger sizes up to 5ft by 10ft we use a 6mm thick Gridpanel.

    Artefex ACM panels being cut to standard sizes, with custom shapes and sizes available upon request for any project.

    Finally we inspect and stamp every panel before sending it to you. This stamp represents an insurance policy not just for artists but for collectors. Your artwork is safe on an Artefex panel for generations.
